Fewer people are accepting that growing older means looking older. The
use of cosmetic procedures has increased dramatically over the past 10
years.

How do anti wrinkle injections work?
Frown Lines
Frown lines can be seen as vertical lines in between the eyebrows and are common in people who frown a lot or have been overexposed to the sun. Small injections are used to treat these lines, in between and along the brow.
Forehead wrinkles appear as horizontal lines on the forehead which are more prominent when you raise your eyebrows. To treat these, small injections are given on the forehead
Crow’s feet are found in the outer corner of the eyes. They appear more prominent when smiling or laughing. They occur as the skin becomes less elastic with age, combined with excessive sun exposure. Small injections at either side of the eyes are used to treat crow’s feet wrinkles.

The lips are a highly sensitive part of the body and, therefore, only dermal filler products with local anaesthetic lidocaine are used for a more comfortable treatment experience.
Only genuine branded dermal fillers with an impeccable safety record are used at The Grove Cosmetic & IPL Clinic .
More than 10 million treatments have been performed since the launch of dermal filler in 1996. Product related reactions are rare. However as with any medical procedure there are some injection related reactions which may occur after any injection; they typically resolve with post treatment management a few days after injection to the skin, within a week after injection into the lips. These reactions include redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising or tenderness at the injection site. More serious side effects like infection, allergy, granuloma and necrosis have been reported (less than 1 in 15000).
After lip enhancement, lips may swell for up to a week, but this typically reduces after two to three days.

Skinboosters

Whilst dermal fillers are specifically designed to replace volume lost through ageing, skin boosters hydrate from within to improve overall skin condition. Skin boosters are designed to restore balance to the nutritional environment of the skin.
Skin boosters improve the elasticity of skin that has been prematurely aged by overexposure to the sun, smoking and environmental factors. Skin boosters are effective in treating areas particularly prone to premature ageing such as the back of the hands and décolletage where the skin is thinner.
Like dermal fillers skin boosters are made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA). This is a substance that naturally occurs in our bodies and binds with water to hydrate our skin.
