Fewer people are accepting that growing older means looking older. The use of cosmetic procedures has increased dramatically over the past 10 years.

Cosmetic Injections

Anti wrinkle Injections:

Soften your frown lines, forehead wrinkles or crow’s feet with one of our specialist anti-wrinkle treatments to refresh your skin for a more youthful fresher version of you!

Anti wrinkle injections are muscle relaxant drugs given in safe therapeutic doses to specific muscles of the face and are a very effective treatment  reducing lines and wrinkles on the forehead, frown lines and face. They are the most popular anti ageing treatment. Anti wrinkle injections are tailored to meet indivual needs to give a subtle more natural look if required.

The treatment itself is very quick to complete, quite comfortable and after the treatment you can drive or head back to work immediately, no recovery period is needed.  It is an extremely safe procedure.

A follow up  two weeks after every anti wrinkle treatment is recommended to ensure that the treatment meets your expectations,

How do anti wrinkle injections work?

This treatment reduces the movement of the muscles which are responsible for the lines and wrinkles that form in the skin.

Frown Lines

Frown lines can be seen as vertical lines in between the eyebrows and are common in people who frown a lot or have been overexposed to the sun. Small injections are used to treat these lines, in between and along the brow.

Forehead Wrinkles

Forehead wrinkles appear as horizontal lines on the forehead which are more prominent when you raise your eyebrows. To treat these, small injections are given on the forehead

Crow’s Feet

Crow’s feet are found in the outer corner of the eyes. They appear more prominent when smiling or laughing. They occur as the skin becomes less elastic with age, combined with excessive sun exposure. Small injections at either side of the eyes are used to treat crow’s feet wrinkles.

Cosmetic injections, anti wrinkle injections, dermal fillers
Dermal Fillers:

Reduce the appearance of unwanted wrinkles, contour and create volume. Revitalise your skin.

Dermal fillers treatments are temporary dissolvable treatments to contour and create volume, fill out lines and wrinkles and revitalise the skin. Dermal fillers used at Grove Cosmetic Clinic are made up of Hyaluronic acid, which is made up of a complex sugar chain and chemically identical to a substance that naturally exists in your body.

By boosting the skin’s supply of hyaluronic acid, dermal fillers revitalise and add volume to the skin, instantly diminishing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and giving a natural softer look. Dermal fillers are a soft injectable gel consisting of stabilised, non-animal hyaluronic acid. The gel is tissue-friendly and closely resembles the hyaluronic acid that exists naturally in the body. It is long-lasting but not permanent.

The result of a single treatment can be seen instantly and can last for around 6 to 9 months. Dermal filler injections can give a natural looking result that does not affect facial expression.

What can Dermal Fillers be used for?

  • Improving facial lines, wrinkles and folds

  • Lip revolumisation, Lip hydration, Lip balancing, Lip lines

  • Under Eye hollowing and tear troughs deformities

  • Restoring lost or dropped facial volume to cheeks, mid face or jaw line

  • Acne scars and some pitted or deep facial scars or surgical scars

  • Hydrating and rejuvenating the fine lines of the face, neck, chest and hands

Does Dermal Filler treatment need pain relief?

Generally, pain relief is not necessary when injecting into the skin to correct lines and wrinkles. Some people may experience the treatment as a mild discomfort. A local anaesthetic cream can be applied to the area for a more comfortable treatment experience.

The lips are a highly sensitive part of the body and, therefore,  only  dermal filler products with local anaesthetic lidocaine are used for a more comfortable treatment experience.

Are there any risks with Dermal Fillers?

Only genuine branded dermal fillers with an impeccable safety record are used at The Grove Cosmetic & IPL Clinic .

More than 10 million treatments have been performed since the launch of  dermal filler in 1996. Product related reactions are rare. However as with any medical procedure there are some injection related reactions which may occur after any injection; they typically resolve with post treatment management a few days after injection to the skin, within a week after injection into the lips. These reactions include redness, swelling, pain, itching, bruising or tenderness at the injection site. More serious side effects like infection, allergy, granuloma and necrosis have been reported (less than 1 in 15000).

After lip enhancement, lips may swell for up to a week, but this typically reduces after two to three days.

Skinboosters

Skinboosters™ work to improve the skin's overall quality by boosting hydration levels deep inside the skin and increasing its smoothness, elasticity and firmness.

Whilst dermal fillers  are specifically designed to replace volume lost through ageing, skin boosters hydrate from within to improve overall skin condition. Skin boosters are designed to restore balance to the nutritional environment of the skin.

Skin boosters improve the elasticity of skin that has been prematurely aged by overexposure to the sun, smoking and environmental factors. Skin boosters are effective in treating areas particularly prone to premature ageing such as the back of the hands and décolletage where the skin is thinner.

Like dermal fillers skin boosters are made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA). This is a substance that naturally occurs in our bodies and binds with water to hydrate our skin.

Effective in treating:

  • Premature ageing

  • Backs of hands

  • Crow’s feet around the eyes

  • Neck

  • Décolletage

  • Dehydrated skin
