What does the treatment involve?
A topical anaesthetic is applied to reduce discomfort and the Mono PDO Threads are inserted using a micro-needle or a cannula. This treatment typically take between 30-60 minutes.
When will I see results?
Results may be seen in six weeks and your skin will continue to improve over two to six months.
Is this the same as as Thread Lift?
No, Mono PDO Threads differ from thread lifts, which use long barbed threads to lift the tissue. Instead, mono threads provide an improvement of fine lines and wrinkles by gradually stimulating natural collagen production to thicken, plump and tighten the skin.
What are the threads made from?
The PDO threads are made from the same material as absorbable sutures (Polydioxanone) which are gradually absorbed and completely eliminated by the body. PDO threads have a 30 year track record for safety for use in orthopedic and cardiovascular surgery and for wound closure.
How do they Tighten the skin?
Mono PDO Threads induce a natural collagen production process which create a thickening, tightening and smoothing effect. The mono insertion provides an immediate visible tightening effect.
How long do results last?
While the threads slowly dissolve, their effects may last up to 12 months.
